A series of urban scenes on Renfrew Street (not to be confused with Renfield Street which intersects it at the the high rise cinema building) in the City Centre in Glasgow, Scotland.
Renfrew Street contains an eclectic mix of traditional sandstone tenement buildings and brutalist architecture with an abundance of grey concrete at is Eastern end while at the other end there are town houses and of course the iconic Mackintosh Building at Glasgow School of Art which is currently under renovation after extensive fire damage last year.
The concrete clad Savoy Centre sandwiched between Renfrew Street and Sauchiehall Street has been granted planning permission for an extensive redevelopment, including an iconic 32 floor hotel and office tower, though it is not clear what stage plans are currently at – whether it will still go ahead or if it has gone the same way as most other skyscraper projects planned in Glasgow.
